WorldHotels™ Welcomes Three New Properties to Expanding Global Portfolio

Luxury hotels in Scotland and Thailand join WorldHotels’ Elite, Luxury and Distinctive Collections

PHOENIX – November 8 2021 – WorldHotels™ announced today the addition of three new hotels to the brand’s global portfolio. The Kingsmills Hotel and Ness Walk Hotel in Inverness, Scotland have joined WorldHotels’ Elite and Luxury collections, respectively. In addition, Layan Green Park in Phuket, Thailand will become part of WorldHotels’ Distinctive collection.

Situated in the Scottish Highlands, the Kingsmills Hotel features luxurious accommodations, two stunning indoor Inverness restaurants and a heated outdoor Garden Restaurant. The Kingsmills Hotel is also located near five of Scotland’s world-class golf courses, allowing guests to easily access the country’s national game.

Ness Walk is an idyllic five-star retreat just a short distance from Loch Ness. Originally constructed as a 19th century house, the luxurious hotel features an opulent lounge, a restaurant with sweeping views of River Ness and accommodations with stylish ensuite bathrooms. The hotel is also ideally situated near the North Coast 500, a 516-mile journey set in the Scottish Highlands that provides magnificent views of Scotland’s landscape and lochs.

“We’re privileged to welcome the Kingsmills Hotel and Ness Walk Hotel to the WorldHotels portfolio. Both hotels exemplify the luxurious qualities of WorldHotels’ brands and it’s exciting to expand our presence in Scotland,” said Wytze van den Berg, Managing Director EMEA, WorldHotels. “Guests from around the world will enjoy the stunning beauty of both properties, as well as their proximity to Scotland’s scenery, golf courses, whisky distilleries and more.”

In addition to WorldHotels’ growing presence in Scotland, the brand has added Layan Green Park in Bangtao Beach in Phuket, Thailand. The hotel is scheduled to open its doors in December 2022 and will become the first new construction in Thailand to receive the EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification. Layan Green Park will be a four-star property and will also become the first WorldHotels Distinctive hotel to open in the south of Thailand and in Phuket, one of the world’s top vacation destinations.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Layan Green Park to the WorldHotels Distinctive collection,” said Olivier Berrivin, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, WorldHotels. “WorldHotels is always seeking to expand with the right properties in the region and we believe Layan Green Park is the ideal fit for our brand.

We look forward to opening this new build next year and welcoming guests from all parts of the globe.”

Layan Green Park will feature more than 400 rooms in five different categories, two restaurants that focus on locally sourced products and seasonal ingredients, a “Wellbeing Spa”, lounge bar and pool bar, as well as landscaped grounds with freshwater swimming pools, a yoga terrace and jogging paths.

Additionally, the new landmark property will have a kids pool, club and playground making this an ideal retreat for families. Layan Green Park is also just 700 meters to Bangtao beach and two kilometers from the upscale vacation and entertainment area Laguna.
