OUR HISTORY
A World 50+ Years In The Making
In 1970, the Frankfurt-based, family-owned Steigenberger Hotel Group launched a reservation system to help independent luxury hotels in Europe and North America compete in a growing global market. That initiative became Steigenberger Reservation Service—later known as SRS Hotels—and quickly established itself as a key player in the international hospitality industry.
Over the decades, the company evolved with the times, advancing its technology, expanding its portfolio, and eventually rebranding as WorldHotels. In 2019, WorldHotels became part of BWH Hotels, a leading global hospitality group. This marked a new chapter in its growth, providing even greater reach while preserving its distinctive identity.
Throughout more than 50 years of change, WorldHotels has remained true to its mission: to connect travelers with independent hotels of luxury, character, and distinction.
