Chilean Mountains

Explore Chile

A long stretched land on the edge of the world!

Chile stretches along the west coast of South America and covers more than 6,000 km of coastline.

Its geography is as diverse as its coast is long. It reaches from one of the driest places on earth, the Atacama Desert, to the glaciers and high mountain ranges of the Parque Nacional Torres del Paine and Patagonia, which is shared with neighboring Argentina. The country is narrow and lies between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, whose main coastal population is the large bay where Valparaiso and Vina del Mar are located, a 90-minute drive the capital city of Santiago.

Chile is also the ideal country to taste high quality wines, as the country has become a world producer in recent years with an increasingly sophisticated variety of wines. The most famous wines in Chile are the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and the Carménère, and in white wine, the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
