Explore The Arizona Science Attraction For All Ages
The Arizona Science Center is the most popular science attraction in the state. Fun for all ages, it offers fascinating exhibits, hands-on activities and galleries designed to increase awareness of science. Situated in scenic Heritage and Science Park, the Arizona science attraction offers four levels for education and exploration. Learn more about the stars and planets at the state-of-the-art planetarium, view special presentations on a five-story-high IMAX screen and browse over 142,000 square feet of gallery space. The Center offers more than 300 interactive exhibits, classes and adult programs. Forces of Nature is an innovative immersion theater. Experience what it feels like to be in a hurricane, tornado, wildfire or monsoon. Magic Planet explores weather patterns around the planet, and Faces of Science profiles scientists and what they do. All About Me is one of the most popular exhibits. Walk through a “working stomach” and learn how the digestive process works. Watch surgeries being performed at the Heart Surgery Theater and explore the various systems of the human body from defense and immunity to cardio, pulmonary, digestive and skeletal. The Science Center is located at 600 E. Washington Street in downtown Phoenix. It’s open daily except Christmas Day.
Arizona Science Center
For a truly edifying experience, the Arizona Science Center in downtown Phoenix is an educational center that includes more than 300 hands-on exhibits, demonstrations, a planetarium and an IMAX Theater. With recent expansions, the center has over 142,000 square feet of gallery space to educate children and adults alike. Over the next few years, the Center will be expanding through the “Future of Education is Science” capital and endowment program.
The Arizona Science Center also offers camps, classes, adult programs, and hosts birthday parties and private events. The Center's Cafe offers a wonderful selection of sandwiches, salads and kid-friendly food, for refueling after a morning of exploring. While visiting Phoenix, enrich your mind and dazzle the brain.
