The Disckson Stampede Days Rodeo takes place at the Dickson County Fairgrounds in mid-July and is known as one of the biggest spectator events in the region. This is the place to watch Steer Wrestling, Bareback Bronc Riding and Junior Barrel Racing competitions.

Held in June, this event attracts more than 250,000 attendees and is now one of the biggest music festivals in Tennessee. Head here to see more than 400 country artists at several downtown venues and visit historic sites like the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum or the Grand Ole Opry during your tour.

When you find yourself in Knoxville, don’t miss Knoxville’s Rhythm & Blooms Fest. This event takes place in the spring and offers something for all types of music lovers. Get your fill of funk, rock, country, folk, blues, and jazz during this annual event and be sure to attend the Dogwood Arts Festival for even more music and entertainment in April.

Another summer music festival you won’t want to miss is the Chattanooga Riverbend festival. This summertime event takes place on the Chattanooga Riverfront and includes a lineup of bluegrass, country, and rock music. You can watch more than 100 bands perform on six stages at this popular event.

Guitar music lovers will appreciate the annual festival dedicated entirely to guitar music. The Tennessee Guitar Festival takes place at Middle Tennessee State University in late May or early June. You can attend workshops, watch musicians compete, and take classes to improve your own music skills.
