Popular shopping areas in South Carolina offer something for everyone. Antique lovers won’t want to miss browsing the shops in the Mountain Region. Charleston

You’ll also find many shops and restaurants on the streets surrounding the market.

Gallery Row on Broad Street offers a variety of art galleries featuring everything from paintings, pottery and photography to sculptures and handcrafted jewelry from local and regional artists. Nearby Queen Street also features several galleries.

King Street is the place to go for fun fashions, accessories and home decor. Purchase everything from traditional Carolina bowties, hats, and khakis to high-end fashions, jewelry, shoes, antiques, books, and candles.

Antique buffs have many tempting shops to explore in Charleston. Birlant & Co on King Street is one of the oldest antique shops in the city and best known for their signature Battery benches. View sparkling chandeliers, clocks, tea sets, and Chippendale furniture. Terrace Oaks Antique Mall on Johns Island features room after room of antiques and collectibles from every decade in the 20th century.

Charleston Tanger Outlets

Open daily throughout the year, the Tanger Outlet shopping center is located in North Charleston of the Charleston metropolitan area on the South Carolina coast. Each store features military and AAA discounts.

Featuring over 100 stores, the Charleston Tanger Outlets offers shops like the Levi's Outlet, Gap Outlet, and the J.Crew Crewcuts Factory. Specialty designer shops include Coach, Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole, and more.

Hilton Head

Shelter Cove Town Centre in Hilton Head is a waterfront village featuring specialty shops, eateries, a community park, and pavilion, where concerts and festivals take place throughout the year. Shop at Belk department store, browse art and jewelry boutiques, and feast on handmade fudge or fresh pastries. Coligny at the Beach is Hilton Head’s original shopping center. Columbia

Columbia’s Devine Street is a popular destination for upscale clothing. Shop for fine gentlemen’s apparel, beautiful floral dresses, high-end makeup, and perfumes. On Main Street, stop by the Mast General Store. It offers clothing, shoes, and outdoor gear, but the main attraction is two aisles brimming with barrels of old-fashioned candy. Five Points is home to vintage clothing shops, record stores, Bohemian boutiques, and trendy stores catering to the young and hip. Columbiana Centre and Village at Sandhill features a more traditional mall shopping experience.

Greenville

Greenville’s revitalized downtown area is anchored by the Mast General Store and features more than 100 shops and boutiques on pedestrian-friendly streets. O.P. Taylor’s Toy Store is a nostalgic toy emporium featuring everything from Lego sets, dolls, and action figures to puzzles, balls, books, and science sets. Nearby shops sell gourmet foods and kitchenware, records, leather goods, fine art, and jewelry. Greenville is also home to the Haywood Mall, the Shops at Greenridge, and popular outdoor gear stores, REI and Cabella’s.

Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is home to more than 300 outlet stores, a variety of retail shops, malls, and flea markets. Bargain shoppers have two Tanger Outlets to choose from in the Myrtle Beach area. The popular outlet center is located off US-501 and at US-17 near SC-22. Shop for designer fashions at discount prices at stores like Michael Kors, Coach, Liz Claiborne, Osh-Kosh, and more.

Flea market fans can peruse more than 70,000 square feet of bargains and collectibles at Hudson’s Surfside Flea Market. Grand Stand Flea Market on South Kings Highway and Sun Flea Market, off US-17, also feature a variety of antiques, vintage apparel, and unique treasures.

The Gay Dolphin Gift Cover is a must-see on any trip to Myrtle Beach. Spread over seven floors, the oceanfront gift shop caters to tourists and sells everything from t-shirts and seashells to action figures and Elvis memorabilia.

Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach is a shopping and entertainment complex offering restaurants, shops, a movie theater, family attractions and nightlife. Stroll along several boardwalks and enjoy a snack or beverage as you savor the beautiful surroundings.

The Myrtle Beach Mall on North Kings Highway features the only Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World in the state along with a variety of department stores and specialty shops. Inlet Square Mall boasts a family fun zone with an arcade, bowling alley, and restaurants. Coastal Grand Mall off US-17 is the second largest shopping mall in the state. Spread over more than one million square feet, it offers a wide choice of department stores, fashion boutiques, specialty stores, and services.

Broadway at the Beach sprawls over 350 acres with a beautiful lake as the focal point. Featuring themed villages, the outdoor complex offers a mix of boutiques, specialty stores, hotels, nightclubs, eateries, and family activities. Market Common off Farrow Parkway is an upscale shopping district offering name brands like Tommy Bahama, unique specialty shops, a movie theater, art gallery, and spa/salon.

Hammock Shops Village

Featuring a wealth of history and comfort, the Hammock Shops Village in Georgetown attracts visitors year-round to South Carolina’s scenic coast. Just south of Myrtle Beach, the hammock village opened in 1938, and offers visitors more than just hammocks.

Today, guests visit the village for the surrounding nature, unique shopping, dining, and even catching a glimpse of how the iconic lounge chair is crafted. The formula may have changed since Captain Joshua John Ward made the first hammock in 1889, but that hasn’t kept Hammock Shops Village from being a must-see destination.
