Everglades National Park

Shark Valley Visitor Center

Located off the Tamiami Trail in south Florida, the Shark Valley Visitor Center welcomes all Miami area guests headed to explore the Everglades National Park. The center offers educational displays, a park video, access to an underwater local camera, and plenty of souvenirs available for purchase at the gift store. Two short walking trails off accessible at the center and guests can purchase snacks, rent bikes, and embark on guided tram tours. 

Skunk Ape Research Center

Located in the Big Cypress National Preserve near Naples and on the southwestern Florida Gulf Coast, the Skunk Ape Research headquarters offers its visitors detailed information on the legendary "skunk ape" patrolling the Florida Everglades. Guests at the research center embark on expeditions into the Everglades National Park to hunt the skunk ape and participate in thrilling airboat rides, swamp walks, riding on swamp buggies, and more.
