Santosh Khanjee was elected to the Board of Directors for Best Western® Hotels & Resorts to represent the interests of hotel owners in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
Mr. Khanjee has forty years of experience as a hotel owner and operator, joining the Best Western brand in 1987. During his tenure with Best Western, he has been appointed to various leadership roles, including serving as a Governor – a liaison between the brand and its hoteliers. Additionally, Mr. Khanjee developed the first Aiden® by Best Western in the United States, bringing the brand’s hip upper midscale boutique offering to Austin, Texas in 2019. He was also the recipient of the Best Western Design Innovator of the Year award in 2020.
Mr. Khanjee is a licensed general contractor in California. He is skilled in strategic planning, construction and business development, global operations and support, and leadership – attributes that have contributed to his success in the hospitality industry.
As the Secretary of International Affairs for the Heartfulness Movement, Mr. Khanjee participates as an advisor for a number of non-profit organizations throughout the world. In addition, he is a certified Heartfulness Meditation Trainer, and served as the Shri Ram Chandra Mission’s (SRCM) Main Representative to the United Nations Department of Public Information. SRCM is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of bringing spiritual upliftment to people across the globe.
Mr. Khanjee graduated from University of Southern California and lives in Austin with his wife.
