My family and I were traveling through the area and stayed here for one night. The hotel isn't in the 'best' location just as far as getting a uhaul in and out of the parking lot... The room itself seemed a little outdated but was still very pleasant! We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind staying again if ever in the area..

Our recent NSA Danang Veterans reunion couldn't have been better. The room was most comfortable, the food was great, the service excellent, the staff was most accomodating and the entire event was a complete success. When I think that 120 were seved a delicious and tasty 3 meat choice buffet dinner with all of the food prepared to perfection, I am amazed. Our hats are off to Manager Richard, Customer Relations man Bob and Ranee McFarland for making our time in Rapid City most memorable. It was indeed a grand experience for all of us at the Grand Gateway Hotel in Rapid City, South Dakota. Richard L. Freitag

Hotel was beautiful and very clean (a must for this frequent traveler!). Check in was a breeze -- thanks to Ranee M for taking care of us! -- and the beds were soooo comfortable! We enjoyed karaoke in the Cheers lounge on Friday night and warm hot muffins Sunday morning at Perkins. What impressed me most about this hotel was when I thought I had lost a blouse, the maintenance manager himself took the time to look for it before I left. He even checked the laundry room to see if it was accidentally picked up with the towels, and was very apologetic that he couldn't find it -- I got home and it was in my suitcase after all! This is our new go-to hotel when we go to the Black Hills

We came in at 130 am tired from driving all night we were all grumpy from the long drive and poor roads by the time we checked in we were all in a good mood because of the lady working behind the front disk she was very friendly thanks Jamie for the great service

Beautiful hotel. My kids and their cousins had a wonderful time at the waterslide. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Thanks Ranee for taking care of the snafu at the registration desk. You rock!
