the staff were all very helpful,and friendly,rooms clean ,comfortable,great view,great price, hot tub too,alot of room to lay by the pool or beach right at back door...i have been up and down this beach and i love mavrick resort..i will make this my week-end get away place....cant wait to go back ... My husband and I stayed here in April. The Maverick is definately a flashback but we found it to be a wonderful place to stay. All rooms are ocean front with balconies. The room itself was very clean. A kitchenette was well stocked. The bathroom appeared to be recently updated. The A/C was a bit noisy..........so we shut it off and propped open the door and listen to waves!! We were going to stay in Daytona Beach but found this great deal on priceline for Ormand Beach. Ormond Beach is just north of Daytona and was a bit quieter. We drove on the beach which was really unique and fun. We would recommend this hotel but be aware it is a bit dated. We had a great breakfast in their resturant, The pool area was clean and looks like they had plently of seating.

What a great find! Directly on the ocean beach with an oceanfront pool and wide sunning deck between the hotel itself and the beach. our room was well appointed with sleep sofa and easy chair in living area, 6-drawer dresser and built-ins on either side of the comfortable queen bed in bedroom area. Sliding divider could be used to separate the two sleeping areas. Small balcony with plastic chairs and table made ocean viewing pleasant for two people -- would be crowded for four. On-site restaurant served breakfast and lunch 7:30 a.m. to early afternoon. We had lunch there first day and it was very good also. Price was under $100 night even with taxes and utility fees. Other reviews mention friendly attentive staff and we strongly agree.

Family of four including a 2 year old and 9 month stayed for a week and all had a great time. The staff was friendly and the pool and beach were great. TV in living room needed an update but the bedroom did have a flat screen. There were several activities going on throughout the week so it was great for the kids. We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was great if you have kids.

This was a nice family vacation however several things broke or did not work. Other people commented on the flat screen tvs but they are in the bedroom?????? Our remote didn't work after we changed the batteries had to call maintance for another one. The DVD player alslo didn't work which was sorta a hassle since we traveled with small children and this is part of their "routine". The ice cream social was nice for the grandparents to do with the kids and was affordable though it did not last long. We grilled a couple of nights so that was very nice. There is a Publix not to far away to purchase groceries. If you plan to do this I would highly recommend brining extra cutlery since you only get 4 forks......unless you want to take turns eateating like we had to doeating like we
