I stayed in the metro hotel from 17th may till the 21st may and it was great... When we arrived they had a small box off chocolates and a wee gift card , happy birthday, for my wife in the room!! The rooms are small but very clean and tidy!! Staff are very helpful and polite nothing is a problem for them!! Breakfast is great in the morning loads to choose from!! I would stay here again as it is in prime location to all the major streets and attractions....GREAT HOTEL!!!

Hotel nice, central location, rooms have nice modern features, small, but that's just NY I suppose Concierge is terrible though, mis sold us overpriced tickets to statue of liberty tour telling us we'd be able to skip queue, which was completely untrue..stay well clear!

Perfect location central to shopping - Macy's, Victoria's Secret, costume jewelry shops, dress shops, shoe stores, etc. Great rooftop bar with amazing views of the city. Delicious continental breakfast every morning with coffee, juice, cereal, muffins, pastries, toast and fruit. Very helpful and friendly staff. We have stayed at the Hotel Metro for the past 6 years each time we visit NY and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

We booked hotel metro for its location and rooftop bar. The bar had just opened for the spring and the view was stunning.the staff were helpfully and friendly.our room had a street view and after the first night we needed to change it due to the street and construction noise. There are rooms opening onto a central service area.while there is still noise from the air conditioning unit it was less intrusive than the street noise. The hotel was very well placed for times square and Macy's. We booked an uptown and downtown open topped bus tour over two days. The guides can be hit or miss but the hop on hop off was very usefull we probably saw more that if we had just walked.

It took me a long time to select a hotel in New York, but I'm glad I took the time. Hotel Metro was super-close to Macy's, Victoria Secret, Empire State Building and Madison Square. It was a moderate walk to Times Square, but there was always the option of the railway if you didn't want to walk up the street in the cold. The continental breakfast was great.
