We stayed at the Grandview 5/18 – 5/20 and were very pleased with the spacious unit. Our 1 bedroom was clean, had decent furnishings, and a comfy bed. The separate living and dining area was great for having the rest of our party over to hang out with us. They were staying at the Polo Towers on the strip and kicked themselves when they saw our spacious unit. Parking was free and plentiful, there were no pushy timeshare sales people pestering you and the distance from the strip and airport was very reasonable if you had a car, like we did. We jumped on the adjacent freeway and headed downtown Vegas one day and up to the Red Canyon Conservation area the next day. The Southern part of Las Vegas Blvd near the property had enough quick eats and convenience stores to meet our needs (Starbuck’s, Dunkin Donuts, KFC, CVS . . .). We saw families, couples, and groups of singles all enjoying the property. For the price, space and proximity to the strip and surrounding attractions I would definitely stay there again.

The Grandview Staff and the Sales Staff aren't the same!

I like this place ... it's far enough from the strip so you feel like you can get away from the craziness, yet there's a casino right across the street (South Point). If you have a car, you're in great shape ... everything is VERY accessible (and parking is free at all the strip Casinos, so there are plenty of options once you head that direction). We did the timeshare presentation in exchange for dining vouchers at South Point and found it to be a worthwhile addition to our week's value ... we used the dining coupons, enjoyed South Point, and definitely reaped some value. But these were among the WORST timeshare salespeople we've encountered. Just remember that the sales staff is NOT the hotel staff. The resort folks took GREAT care of us. The grounds and rooms are typical contemporary timeshare fare. No complaints about this place at all (other than the timeshare sales people ... but we decided not to let them put a damper on our stay ... and we were well compensated with the meal vouchers). If you just say no to the timeshare pitch, you can avoid anything negative here as far as I'm concerned.

Bad staff ruin this stay

I am very unhappy with the staff the don't really care unless you want to buy a timeshare...business center had half the computers broken..told the staff they don't care...anything you would ask or have issue with was dismissed...I would never buy a timeshare here.

Grandview

We stayed at the Grandview 5/5-5/12, 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Daisy 1007B. We stayed in a 1 BR and it had all we needed and was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen more than sufficient. There was an odd odor in our unit a couple of nights but I believe it was what our neighbor cooked because as soon as they checked out, no more issues. We were able to open the windows which took care of it at any rate. Our microwave did not work when we checked in but maintenance had it replaced with a new one in less than an hour of my phone call, great customer service, you couldn't ask for any better than that. The decor was very pretty and modern, although the sofa probably needs to be replaced soon due to lots of wear - the cushions seemed to sink in a bit too much. The only complaints I have are minimal and certainly wouldn't dissuade me from returning by any means... The Daisy building was a bit further than the other buildings in terms of location to the pool, walk to SouthPoint Casino and check-in area. The pool closest to us was the activity pool, more for kids, so we chose to walk to the main pool with the waterfall each day. One of the pools was heated, but too hot and the other pool was ice cold. It was as if there was an issue with the heating ducts in the pools and not adeqaute control. They did get the warmer pool adjusted by our last day but the pool with the waterfall actually in it was just too cold for anyone to use, making the warmer pool a bit crowded. Hot tubs worked great, plenty large and enough of them to accommodate everyone who wanted to use at once. Even though we are RCI owners, we did take the timeshare tour to get our free show tickets. The salesman was super obnoxious to the point of almost being offensive, but we were out right around 2 hours and silly the consumer who think a timeshare tour is going to be a fun way to spend a couple of hours or that you're actually going to be in and out in exactly 90 minutes, that's simply an unrealistic view of what a timeshare tour is. Either plan to sit back and listen to the spiel or don't go, but don't complain about how bad it was either, they are always bad. (I did feel sorry for the people who weren't staying at Grandview as they were bussed their, cannot imagine being trapped like that!) We chose to have I'm not posting any pictures, The rooms are beautiful and look exactly like the pictures already posted. I would highly recommend staying at Grandview. It was awesome to be removed from the strip yet just a quick drive away. The SouthPoint Casino is a quick walk and offers anything you would want at your fingertips anyway. RENT a CAR!!

NICE BUT ...?

We stayed the 1st week of May. It was a girls trip. We had a 1 bedroom with the sofa bed in living room. There was plenty of space for both of us to put our things. There was a set of drawers and closet in living room which was nice and then the same in bedroom. We liked the 2 sinks in the bathroom also. The unit was very clean. I asked for a room with a view since it was my friends 1st trip to Vegas. We were given the 18th floor in the Daisy building. Our view was of the generators and pool of Southpoint and the casino's were far away. I guess that was the best view we could have had. The building across from us had a view of new construction. Our once a week maid service forgot us but did show up the next day after I called and asked for it. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. Did not talk to staff very much because they were not overly friendly. We rented a car for the week since there were side trips we wanted to do. If we would have know the shuttle was only $8.00 a day and you could go back and forth to the strip all day we would have rented the car right there at the resort for only 2 days. It would have been better for us to take the shuttle since traffic was terrible. While visiting in Las Vegas we took a trip to the dam to see the new bridge and walked over it. Amazing. From there we went south to Kingman and picked up old route 66 which is a very windy road over the mountain to Oatman, AZ, which is an old mining town. The ancestors of the original miners donkeys wonder the streets of Oatman and you can buy carrots and feed them. Of couse, the day we were there a group of motorcycles went through town and the donkeys left so we only saw them when we were leaving town. They were coming up the road. From there we stopped at Laughlin,NV where the casino's are along the Colordo River. You can take a pontoon boat from one casino to another. This used to be free but now they charge $8.00 each way. Not worth it. The weather was great all week so this was a nice trip. Another day we went to Red Rock Canyon for the day. We did the sightseeing loop there and that is nice. From there we went to Spring Mountain Ranch. It is a state park a few miles down the road from the loop. Beautiful. It is a must see. There is picnicing and hiking there. From there we took the Cowboy trail ride. We did the sunset BBQ ride. The guides were so nice and helpful all through the ride. There were all ages taking the ride. The dinner was great after the ride and we ended up sitting around campfire roasting marshmellows and listening to cowboy songs. That is the second time I took this ride and would do it again. We could not get internet service and did not pay extra for it. It should be included. We had a nice week. We stayed at Cliffs at Peace Canyon last time and I liked that one better. It was only 2 levels with little balcony or patios to sit outside. This one did not have a place to sit outside. We never saw the main pool. It was closed most of the time we were there.
