Ok location if you don't mind driving everywhere

posted April 23, 2012

So this resort is well located in that it has a number of things within driving distance. But that's he rub - it is not really a destination in itself. More of a staging point for other places. Facilities in each room are what you would expect in good condo - just ask that you don't get the end rooms close to the condenser units - feels like you're living next to a jet engine. The "A" Units have curiously large amount of floor space dedicated to bathroom. Poor design in my opinion. Resort staff are nice enough. To compensate for lack of onsite facilities they offer free videos. (tells a lot doesn't it?)

Don't count on it!

We were contacted by Vacation Village and invited for a weekend at the resort. We made arrangements, took time off from work, and planned our trip...only to be called a few days before and told that they had to "cancel"... So much for a weekend away.

Lovely setting, nice units. You just have to say no to the sales presentation.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We spent a week there for spring break. We used an RCI Exchange for our trip. And even though we already own a time share, they tried to lure us into a sales presentation anyway. Just say no; don't fall for the free breakfast or the promise of a Visa gift card. Just say no, and enjoy your vacation. We had booked a 2 bedroom unit, and when we opened the door, realized we had two one bedroom units. The space was enormous for a family of 4 with 2 small kids. The kids loved having their own space. The unit was spacious and clean. However I must mention that we had mice in our unit. Maintenance was very responsive, even at 10 pm and came in to set some traps. By the morning, we had two mice in the traps and by the time we returned from our outing the next day, we had two more. Maintenance cleared the traps, set two more, and closed in the hole it appeared the mouse were using to get in. That seemed to take care of it, because in the morning, the traps were mouse-free. The indoor pool was nice, clean and really a must for our trip since it kept the kids occupied for hours each day. We enjoyed day trips to Vermont and Rhode Island and took in some candle pin and duck pin bowling. There was an array of activities at the resort each day, like water aerobics, and a nature lecture, arts and crafts, and even hot dogs poolside one afternoon. The staff was pleasant and responsive. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Interesting weekend

When we received a phone call that we "won" a weekend in the Berkshires we decided to go. We were assured that all we had to do was to go on a 90 minute tour. The location was very nice but we were given a B unit to stay in. Very disappointed that we were in this room. If they truly wanted us to purchase a time shares we should have stayed in the more impressive A unit. Our time spent with the salesman lasted 4 1/2 hours. He was very nice, however, by the time we left the price came down significantly. We agree that the lay out of the bathroom was not designed for the best use of the enormous space.

Was alright of a place

The construction of the units was not very good at utilizing space. They could have done a better job at not wasting space in the bathroom. There was alot of empty space in the bathroom. They could have designed it better so that the toilet would have been enclosed in its own room. The quality of the constrution is along the lines of Wyndham Vacation Club Resorts. We stayed in a one bedroom unit. The bed was very uncomfortable. Luckily we were only there for 2 nights. They do have a nice indoor pool. They have an outdoor pool too but it was closed for winter. The resort is located on top of the mountain peak across from Jiminy Peak Ski Resort. They say they have tranportation that will take you to Jiminy Peak but we didn't use it (We just drove over to it ourselves). It is about a 3 minute drive.
