Spacious rooms and immaculate. Charming small boutique historic hotel and service very attentive. Excellent comfortable beds. Good value for Boston. Would definitely return when in Boston and would recommend hotel to friends and family. Marilyn

Stayed one night mid-week. Was perfect. From the moment we arrived and were wished a happy birthday and received a room upgrade to the moment they brought the car around - was absolutely perfect. Rooms were spacious and modern and wonderful. Service was impeccable. Location cannot be beat. 10 minute walk to Fenway Park or 5 minutes to the shops on Newbury St- was a perfect stay.

Travelled here in May 12 - upgraded to suite on arrival which was exceptionally comfortable, spacious (and with a powerful shower!) Welcoming staff on arrival and fantastic location off Newbury Avenue, close to shops, restaurants and walking distance to major hubs, Boston Common etc.

Moved here after booking a place that was awful, getting a refund from Hotwire and rebooking here. Clean, elegant old style hotel in Back Bay, comfortable bed, marble bathroom, excellent service, $5 internet (very fast). Only complaint was that buffet breakfast in restaurant was overpriced at $15 (after "$5 off" coupon) but otherwise would recommend, especially for couples or solo travelers.

Our family of four spent 3 nights at The Eliot in April 2012 and had a generally positive experience. The hotel is located close to shopping and dining on Newbury Street and within walking distance of a subway stop and Fenway. Our suite was large and comfortable, although the furniture and bathroom fixtures were beginning to show their age as were the elevator cars. The beds were of recent vintage and the hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful. The in-room computer was fine for simple tasks, but would be awful for serious work. If you want a good, quasi-European alternative to the traditional chains for vacation travel, the Eliot might be worth a look.
