We were pleasantly surprised as concerned about the reported construction...but our four days were noise and construction free! We had two rooms and both were clean, contemporary and quiet. Breakfast offered excellent assortment from eggs and bacon to crepes, cheeses, meats and cereals. The front desk staff was very helpful in suggesting local restaurants like Nalen, and Malaysia...for when our feet gave out. Close to metro, but also walking distance to Stureplan and Gamla Stan. Renovated lobby and restaurant were very well done. Good choice in Stockholm!

Minimalist style hotel,rooms small ,but well designed. Bathroom very small with a wet room design but alarming until you realise this as your shower water pours over the bath rim!! Reallly good Swedish breakfast. Get a travel card from the underground station,gives you free bus and underground travel both of which are just 5 mins from hotel and run frequently. there is building work going on next door ,which did not disturb us but worth checking.

Stayed at Hotel Birger Jarl during a recent business trip to Stockholm. Staff were very friendly, room was clean and well equiped. Buffet breakfast was comprehensive and didn't leave one wanting more. The hotel in a 5 minute walk to the T-Bahn (metro) that gives great access to the city. Would stay here again for sure!

The hotel is very nice and beyond the standard quality of 3 stars hotels. Given this preamble the price is ok. There was the possibility to book a single room without windows, which is what I did, for a cheaper price than the standard room. The room was very clean and with pleasant new furniture. Hairdrier and iron were available in the room. The shower/bath was about 3 cm separated from the wall and therefore during the shower the water was dripping on the floor. For this reason only I give 4 stars instead of 5 to this hotel. Buffet breakfast had a huge selection. I spent very little time in the hotel so there is not much I can add, except that it is very close to a metro station and that the area is quiet and safe, but also central. So it's a very good find! I recommend it!

I stayed there for three nights. The room itself was clean and good-sized too and the breakfast-buffet was good with a wide variety. Only downside was the small bathroom. The hotel is about 20 minutes walking from Central/Gamla Stan and little then 5 minutes from a tube-station and the beginning of the large shopping street drottningsgatan. I am very satisfied considering the price ihave payed for a good, centrally located hotel in a expensive city like Stockholm
