Good location

Madrid is a fantastic city. The atmosphere is great. Beautiful buildings, many restaurants and terraces combined with great food , many great small streets. It’s great. This hotel is located very good. It is walking distance to the centre if you are prepared to walk for half an hour or so. If not, the super metro system is just a few minutes away. Transport by metro is fast, cheap and the trains are clean. The hotel rooms are ok. A little outdated, the furniture is old and slightly broken, the rails of the curtains were loose. Breakfast on the other hand was great. This is combined with the hotel next door and thus for many people. Large buffet, much choice, everything you could want in a breakfast.

Good business hotel

Stayed two nights in Jan 2012 on business trip. Booked a double although staying as a single. Room was good size, clean but somewhat spartan decor. Mattress a little firm for me. Missing some standard items one might expect in a comparable US hotel including a box of tissues. The location of the hotel is good near a number of very reasonable restaurants, department store, convenience store and Starbucks. Short walk to Metro. Impression was that it was a safe area to walk at night. As noted by others have to check in at the sister Princessa hotel and walk down a corridor to the Husa wing elevator. Overall the price was reasonable for Madrid and a business hotel.

Good hotel

Hotel looks small but nice, staff friendly, rooms were very specious and clean, good location near center and Metro is right next to the hotel. We had breakfast included it was pretty good nice selection. The only problem I had was it was very noisy, I guess the way hotel is build you can hear everything outside and what you neighbor is doing ...so bring ear plugs.

Close to metro, but hotel was disappointing.

The room was big with a nice view, but not clean. The bathroom was clearly dirty and there were stains on the carpet and bed. It was very loud outside, though we were up 10 stories. This hotel is an addition on to the bigger; better Princess Moncloa, as ours didn't have breakfast or any amenities. Good points: The surrounding area was very populated with stores, El Corte Ingles and restaurants and even a Starbucks was on the corner of the building. The metro was very close, so that was a plus too. The service was ok. They didn't seem to want to go out of their way to help us or make us feel welcome. The internet is used on public computers and costs 5 euro. I would pick another hotel the next time I visit Madrid.

OK

The staff is nice and friendly. Perfect place to stay and visit Madrid. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel does a very good breakfast though any other food you may eat there is expensive. The wifi was also to expensive- 8 euro for 24 hours - considering you could get free internet with your purchase at Starbucks downstairs.
