we stayed here from 6th - 11th May 2012 for 5 nights. the hotel was very nice. hotel staff were great, clean rooms everyday and clean towels etc. rooms are fairly big. we stayed bed and breakfast and breakfast was ok. lots of choice. they also have shows on in the evenings in the casino downstairs. we stayed in sea view room and would def recommend as it is such a beautiful view of the sea. pool area was great. not too busy as just at the beginning of the season. We also stayed in this hotel in Oct 2009 (at the end of the season) and had the same feelings as above. I would def only go either before or after the season as it seemed to get quite busy towards the end of the holiday.

Stayed here for a week in September 2010. We were very disappointed with our room on arrival as it didn't have a balcony and was looking out on the front street. Ended up paying about £150 more to move to a room with sea view and balcony. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Food was fine. We were B&B.

Booked a twin classic room with an extra bed at this hotel for a week at the start of April. Very disappointed, the room is tiny and if you add an extra bed, then it becomes impossible to walk around the room . As I booked through a travel agent the hotel wanted an extra 20 euros per night to upgrade even though on their own website this room is UNAVAILABLE FOR 3 PEOPLE. On to the goods things , the hotel has a great location , breakfast was superb with everything needed to start the day . We ate out every night as there a number of restaurants within walking distance and a cab takes about 10 mins to town at a cost of about 7 euros each way . Despite our poor room , the receptionists were well informed and polite but have no authority to make any decisions and finding a manager is hit or miss , in our case 12 hrs. The hotel isn't the cheapest for drinks and not all facilities were open as it was the beginning of April . I would not say the hotel is a 5 star hotel as it is let down by not just the size of the room we had but also the amount of old furniture in it . Also there is an extra cost of 8 euros each to use the spa for 30 mins , which in Low season is excessive which is probably why that area was empty

Just spent a week in this hotel, if one needs a week " away from it all"then come here, pool is heated and like piece of heaven with sea view, breakfasts are one of the best selections I have had ( with champagne if one wishes!!) & dining room staff could not be more helpful & welcoming each morning, bedrooms are spacious & cleaned spotlessly each day. Less than 5 mins to gorgeous beach. Only criticism I would have is indoor Jacuzzi & sauna had to be paid for, 5 euro for Jacuzzi,9 for Sauna, considering we paid a bit extra for this hotel, I think.these should be included in the rates(gym was free as are towels for.pool that can be taken.to beach, staff at leisure centre very helpful again), however with a natural.outdoor Jacuzzi( the sea), why bother sitting indoors!! Piano player excellent in.lobby& overall feel of space & luxury in lobby& outdoor bar, f ree WiFi available, codes available from.reception. Would highly recommend this hotel. Will be back!!

we stayed in this hotel in 2010, when our kids were small, in one of the family rooms, and we still talk about it. the staff were friendly, the food was good. we went to albufeira this year, which has more things to do and go, compared to priaia de rocha. the beach was better in praia compared to albufeira.
