Location is very good, just a short walk to metro stop and main squares - didn't dine in the restaurants - some very good restaurants within a short walk. As othets have said, breakfast was Ok, nothing special. They didn't always replenish the food quick enough and so there might be no bacon for several minutes. I thought the rooms were very good. Bathroom modern, very clean. Shower system worked well. Shower screen did leak to cause floor to get very wet but not really an issue. Beds very comfortable. We had rooms to the back of hotel and very quiet. Others in our party had slightly larger rooms at the front, to enable a child's bed to be added. Our main gripe was their admin. They took 308 euros more than I authorised from my debit card whihc caused my account to overdraw and then took a long time to refund the over-payment (and I lost out on exchange rates). To their credit, when one of our party had to cancel at last minute due to family bereavement, they did agree to refund his full advance payment, although it took two emails and a phone call to elicit any response at all.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel is quite. Room clean and comfortable except for the bed. The madras is like a brick. I know you often get that in Europe but being European myself this was a very uncomfortable hard bed. But clean. Nice buffet breakfast included. Wifi free if you sign up for a free membership of the hotel chain. Service was very friendly and helpful.

As a former GM of 2 Golden Tulip Hotels, here my review..... The premises consist out of 2 hotels close to each other (4- and 5-star) At c/in we were put in a 'cave-room', ver small with view on a wall.....when using the toliet, you were with your legs in the shower..... Another room was app no option,as the hotel was 'full'..... cfr the old man at the reception. After calling our travel agency, suddenly, we could choose another, big and spacious room (!!) Despite the info from our travel agency and the Jet Air-brochure, both the swimming pool and the sky bar were NOT open ..... swimming pool was dirty, pool bar closed. To enter the bar (in other hotel, cause no bar in-star hotel), you had to dress with long pants, shirt and decent shoes (it was 26°c outside(!). Several mistakes were made at the reception desk, esp by older personnel (wrong vouchers bus-tour, wifi-connection, sending us to a spa that did not exist, or was fully booked because of a groupon-action, missed wake-up calls, etc etc). The day of our departure at 7am in the morning, it was not possible to have a cup of coffee, unless we paid for breakfast in our voucher....... All very disappoiting for a 4-5 star hotel, with great location and high potential ...... to my idea, this hotel is NOT convenient for tourists.... for sure they want to fill the hotel with tourists outside the weekdays and holidays, but they are certainly not prepared for it ..... Shame!

we spent 4 nights whilst visiting a conference. location is okay, just next to avenida liberdad. breakfast is also okay, but nothing very exciting. altough off the avenue, you here some noise from the street and also from the airconditiong machines from the office building next to the hotel. staff is friendly but not really warm harted. balcony door is hard to move and balcony is anyway not to exciting, because you just look on the backfront of another building. big plus is the swimingpool of the 5*hotel tivoli, which you can also use. so all in all maximul 3 star hotel with 4 star price.

This is a nice hotel, but lacks the little touches that could make it 4- or 5-dot-worthy. No ice machines, no ATM, no conditioner or lotion, the entrance looks like a backdoor service entrance. The minibar in the room doesn't get very cold, but the €3 beers in it were cheaper than any minibar beer I think I've ever seen. The staff was great and one reception guy recommended a great restaurant nearby, small and off the beaten path -- we would have never found it. I was in room 352, at the far end of the hotel and over the restaurant, which apparently becomes a disco on Friday nights -- I had to close my balcony door despite perfect weather because of the booming music coming from below until 4 a.m. One plus was that the computer access in the lobby is free -- some hotels, especially in Europe, charge (if they even have computers). My room was a decent size, as was the bathroom. Tip: A taxi from the airport shouldn't cost more than €15. The guy taking me there charged me €23. I didn't know I should have fought it. The trip back to the airport was €11. Unless you're stuck in traffic for hours, argue and even take it inside to the reception desk. There's no excuse for that kind of gouging.
