The Bilderberg Hotel Jan Luyken has an amazing location! ~ in a quiet neighborhood, near high-end shopping and museums. I had easy access to public transportation, which I used often. I loved the lounge area, and the stylish interiors. My room was very comfortable, I had just the right amount of space to unpack and settle in for the week. Friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel in Amsterdam!!!

I don't think it's a 4 star boutique hotel. It's very average hotel. Design of the hotel is not unique, certainly not a boutique. There is not free WiFi in the hotel, not even in the lobby. The only one good thing is the location.

We stayed 4 nights in this comfortable, well-located hotel and had a totally satisfying experience. Aside from its proximity to the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh, and the Concertgebouw (also the Stedlijk, but it is closed for renovations), it is also right near two tram lines, all the shopping you could want, and in a neighborhood in which you can get coffee and pastries if you don't want to have breakfast in the hotel (which is excellent but quite expensive). The bed was super-comfortable, with unusually good lighting at each bedside, there are shelves in the closet along with hanging space, and the hotel staff are accommodating and helpful. Our room faced the street, but it was not at all noisy. And staying in a neighborhood means you see Dutch people, not just tourists. This hotel had everything we were looking for.

We have been yo Bilderberg twice. One our second visit my now fiancé asked me to marry him, the perfect setting for a romantic break. The location of the hotel could not be better! To the back of the hotel you will find the designer shops, round the corner from the Van Gogh and stedelijk museums. With just a short walk into the centre. The Hotel itself is well presented and clean. On our first visit was had a good size room and our second the room was a little more compact but fitted with all the mod-cons. In fact the only down side to our room was the beds are twins pushed together (as a young couple this can be a disadvantage) but never the less they are very comfy and we slept soundly. On our second visit we used the spa which was well worth the money. The staff where friendly and very accommodating.

Within 5-10 minutes walk of the 3 most famous art museums in Amsterdam and the Concertgebouw this is a lovely intimate hotel which I'd highly recommend. Situated in a beautiful district the hotel is very accessible by tram. We had a delightful room with a small balcony that allowed us to get a feel for the weather before stepping out of the hotel. There are some wonderful shopping streets nearby - not just the designer ones but other more suburban ones (e.g. Cornelius Schuuytstraat and Beethovenstraat) - which, at the time we were visiting, were not being explored by any other tourists. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to our friends and we would be highly likely to stay here again.
