Loved this Amazing Hotel

posted May 14, 2012

We stayed at this hotel for a conference in March 2012 and loved it. The hotel rooms are amazing and very well maintained. The rooms are CLEAN, SPACIOUS and COMFORTABLE. Make sure that you stay in a Sea View Room as the sunrises are relaxing to watch on your spacious balcony. This is a 4 star hotel but it's nicer than anything I've stayed at in Canada and the USA. Anything in Monaco, Monte Carlo is expensive but it's a place that is worth a visit for sure knowing you'll be spending a lot of money. The Blue Gin Bar is expensive. 1 cocktail for 18 euro. It was just ok. The breakfast buffet included in your room is great with lots of options. Just make sure you are dressed in clothing other than your pyjamas or sweats as the people in Monaco are always dressed to the nines with designer fashion. It's really fun to people watch and see how some of the rich live. It's fun to take a look at the cars that park outside the hotel as the cheapest brand of cars I saw in Monaco was a BMW. The best was a silver and baby blue Bugatti parked right outside our hotel for a couple days. $$$$$$$$ The Casino in the hotel was ok. It was small and there were no tables. We were the only ones there. I think the machines are rigged to take your money. ie: roulette. Could never seem to win. You'd have better luck at the Monte Carlo Casino. A must see Casino even just to watch the High Rollers bet thousands at a time! The pool at the hotel was amazing although I didn't get a chance to use it. I could imagine hanging out all day in the sun though. If you order Room Service the Club Sandwich is great. Didn't try anything else. Just a short walk away is an amazing restaurant called MAYA BAY. They have one part set up as a Thai Restaurant and the other a Sushi Restaurant. We tried both and they were both AMAZING! YOU HAVE TO GO. EXPENSIVE though but what isn't in Monaco.

5 star luxury

posted April 30, 2012

As others have said, 4 stars doesnt do this hotel justice especially when comparing to other 4 star hotels in various countries. As you would expect in Monte Carlo, the outside is littered with beautiful cars and the entrance to the hotel is very grand. Very speedily checked in and up to a wonderful sized room with a gorgeous view of the Bay. I had a party of 22 out there and even although I was in a standard room, a number of them were given a free upgrade to amazing suites. The staff in all parts of the building were extremely friendly and helpful and we spent every night in the Blue Gin bar, where they blocked off a private area for us and had the drinks on tap. The last night was spent on the terrace of the bar again with beautiful views and the warm air until 3am. Really cant fault this hotel at all.

Amazing!!

What can I say about this hotel!!!! We expected a typical cote d'azur 4* hotel and walked in a 5* resort!!! If this is a 4* resort then 90% of the five star resorts in the Med are only 3 stars!! A big thank you to everyone working in this hotel that made our stay an amazing one!! 5th floor, Monte-Carlo views, a huge room, a great value for money (not cheap but very honest price to what these guys offer). Fine little derails that make you happy: the lift!! - the lift is all made of red leather and has a sofa to sit when you go in - amazing?? The breakfast room with brilliant sea views, one of the best clubs in Monacco (Jimmy's) is located in the resort, the trully professional staff that man the hotel, the fantastic room amenities (includding a ducklin really trendy!!). This hotel is just a synonim with its location and name. I will DEFINATELY go back and would recommend it to others!!

The beginning of an amazing Honeymoon!

posted March 17, 2012

This is a way late entry but my husband and I stayed here for 3 nights prior to boarding our cruise on our honeymoon 2 summers ago. We loved it!! Great location. Great restaurants. Lobby smells so good. Huge rooms for Europe! Great pools!! Staff were amazing. So so helpful. My bag was lost en route from Paris and they went out of their way to get my luggage back for me. (Second time this has happened to me when traveling to the French Riviera so make sure you pack enough for a few days in your carry on if you are flying from states thru Paris to Nice) We golfed one day at the Monte Carlo Golf Club and the hotel helped us get there and booked tee time, etc. (You have to be staying here or another participating resort in Monaco to go). Would go back here in a heartbeat and can't wait to return!!

Expensive but the Cinq Mondes Spa is worth it!

posted March 14, 2012

The Monte-Carlo Bay Resort is fabulous! The rooms are comfortable, the fitness center is larger than expected (and they offer free personal training!) and the absolute best part? Cinq Mondes Spa. It is heaven on earth. Even if you don't stay that the hotel, at least book a service at the spa (where you enjoy peach tea)...the hammam, Japanese bath and massage were all wonderful. The food is expensive (but hey, you are in Monte Carlo) but very good. I give a detailed review on my website: http://internationaltravelchick.com/2011/12/11/nikkis-nest-monte-carlo-bay-hotel-resort-monte-carlo-monaco/
