"Excellent Stay and Wonderful Food!”

"Excellent Stay and Wonderful Food!” We went went for Honeymoon trip to Mauritius from 23rd to 29th May, 2012, We stayed in room 117 at Casuarina hotel overlooking the beach. The room was cleaned to a very high standard.the air conditioning worked well. The food was very good with lots of choices we were all-inclusive and always found plenty to eat.Reading previous reviews the Indian food is now available to everyone it was spicy but enjoyed it and was available each night. Each night has a theme with lots of choices. My wife thought the desserts were very good. The hotel for the first week was busy and some days beds were limited on the beach but there are two swimming pools and beds were available there. Water is very expensive in hotel it cost 90 Rupees per bottel, but fortunately these is a super market near hotel it is hardly less then 5 min of walking distance, so you can buy bunch of bottels, a set of 6 bottels will cost you approx 222 Rupees.

pleasant hotel

we stayed on a fully inclusive basis in april/may 2012 we had a good stay ,the staff at the hotel was very friendly from the general manager down to the gardeners allways greeted us with friendly smiles, they really make this hotel. the bedrooms and lounges could do with a make over the furnishings are a little tired, but everywhere is spotlessly clean, food is good but not a big choice of western food apart from excelent breakfasts.the only downside is having to cross a road to get to the beautiful beach and not been able to get a drink there. the swimming pools in the hotel and the imaculate grounds make up for this.if you want a clean basic hotel with good facilitys we recomend this hotel but go for the fully inclusive option as facilitys in the surrounding areas are limited.

Overall experience in casuarina resort

posted May 14, 2012

We stayed here in April/May 2012. Though there were ample options available in Mauritius but finally we opted for Casuarina Resort. It was our honeymoon and the experience in the resort was truly fascinating. From the time of check in till check out, we both experienced a truly amazing stay at this resort. The hotel staff is very friendly and will assist you in every single thing. Food and breakfast was also good which was included in our package. Rooms were clean and so as the washroom's. The best part is, that the beach is located right opposite to the resort. You can opt for water sports there. Plz be advised that you should buy water from outside, buying water from resort will be too costly. In short had a great fun ova thr...would love to go back to the same resort in case v vill visit Mauritius again..Thanx a ton Casuarina and not to forget...special thanks to Mr Shiva, Mr Vinay, Kiran, Minisha (Hope i have not mis spelled ya name)...Thanx a ton to all ;-) Best Wishes, Sakshi & Amit

Casuarina Resort

A very pleasant stay. Clean modern, beautiful grounds, nice clean swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds. The Tree Top Restaurant was not included in all inclusive price, although there was a reduced price available. We did not use it as it was very expensive, about £35.00 per person for the fish (Lobster) nights & slightly cheaper for the other nights (Indian & Chinese Menu). Room was good, flat screen TV. (Only one programme in English (BBC World News)), bathroom good, soap & shampoo provided. Spacious shower only. There is a road to be crossed to get to beach but a pedestrian controlled crossing has been provided right o/s the hotel. Road not very busy. All staff very friendly. Bar service in evenings a bit slow due to lack of staff, I think! Booked with Mercury Direct & had mini bus to ourselves on arrival, after being greeted by local rep. & taxi to ourselves on return. Flew Emerates, best airline we have used. Altogether a very satisfactory holiday resort.
