Metropolitan hotel is very conveniently located and close to everything. Hotel room is considerably large by JP standard. View is absolutely great. No. 1 choice for everyone plans to stay in Ikebukuro.

Stayed in this hotel for a short business trip. Very nice, clean and well staffed hotel, with very efficient and helpful check in staff. The rooms are a fair size, very clean and fitted with comfortable beds. There is a nice large window so you can get a pretty good look at Tokyo, depending where abouts in the building you are. There is a lot of choice at breakfast, with literally all options covered. I required a iron during my stay and the staff we quick with one to hand. There is a shuttle bus from the airport directly to the hotel and the subway station is very near, so a pretty good location to be. About 5 minutes walk from the hotel is a huge eating district with hundreds of options for food (Most places have pictures in the menus!) Would recomend staying for business, only thing lacking is a bit of character. Cant have it all i guess!

We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our Japan holiday before travelling further south, we wanted something easy to find (on the assumption we'd be a little tired after the long haul flight), and somewhere relatively cheap. It met both of these requirements easily (tho getting the hang of which subway exit that was closest to the hotel took a little practice (you want one of the south exits - look for 'lumine'). The room was a little small, even though it was a superior queen, but perfectly acceptable and very clean, comfy bed, with a great view over tokyo. The staff were lovely (when we first left the hotel a member of staff came running after us with complementary umbrellas). We didn't eat in the hotel, there's plenty of places to eat near by (and we enjoyed 'Gyoza stadium' (styled to look like an old alley full of small street food sellers, each with different types of gyoza) a short walk away within the 'namco namja town' attraction in the sunshine city complex. The hotel is a convenient short walk from the shopping areas of ikebukero, and a couple of stops from shinjuku

My first time in Tokyo and my choice of hotel was good, small room but adequate, good location everywhere is accesible from Ikebukuro. the hotel is on the route of the airport shuffle from Narita and tickets can be booked from the hotel reception back to Narita, good shopping areas, eating establishments etc but one downside to this hotel is the checking in times you cannot check in until 2 in the afternoon unless a room is vacant, poor if you have arrived early as I did from Narita, but a good hotel nontheless and the staff are first class.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights for a Tokyo blitz. The hotel is very well located and we made it all the way from Narita Airport to the hotel on public transport without any problems. The hotel is one of those hotels that’s been around for ages so though it’s a bit worn, it’s extremely well run. Pro’s: -For Tokyo the hotel is well priced. (I live in Hong Kong and I think Tokyo is insanely expensive) -The staff are first rate and very very helpful. I had a million questions for the concierge and they helped perfectly with every thing I needed. -It’s very well located and very close to the metro train station. -Internet was free and very fast Con’s: -rooms were TINY - though not bad, breakfast buffet could be improved. It’s not cheap. for a quick weekend or budget stay I recommend this hotel, for a longer stay or if you have loads of luggage and or plan to spend a lot of time in your room, I would recommend you find somewhere with more space. Note that they do things a tad different: -You get one tiny pillow when you arrive. Just call up room service and ask for more. -They don’t keep safes in the room. Go to reception and they’ll sort you out. They keep safes behind reception.
