It's not that I had low expectations for this hotel, but it was just so much more than I had expected. The enormous lobby makes quite an impression, and our rooms were quite decently sized, by tiny Japan standards. The hotel is in a perfect location; it's perfect if you're going to hit all of the must-sees in Hiroshima. It's directly across the street from the Hiroshima Museum of Art: a relatively small but very worthwhile museum. On the other side of the museum is the castle. In the other direction of the hotel is a very large shopping arcade with loads of restaurants and shops, and on the other side of this is the Peace Park, A-Bomb Dome, and Peace Museum. The Dome is on one end - the end nearest the hotel - & the Peace Museum is on the other. In a walk through the park, you'll find countless, beautiful memorials. I have been to Hiroshima twice, and I would definitely stay in this hotel again. It could not be better located; it's very aesthetically attractive; and the price was extremely reasonable.

For a first visit to Hiroshima this hotel was an excellent choice. It is close to the main sights and convenient for shopping and finding interesting restaurants.. The rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast was satisfactory with a choice of western and Japanese dishes. Apart from the Peace Park and museum, a visit to the world heritage sight, Miyajima island and the Shinto shrine, is something that cannot be missed. A visit to Hiroshima is a unique lifetime experience never to be forgotten.

We were overwhelmed by the facilities and the location. It is within two blocks of the Peace Dome, where the first atomic bomb was dropped. Go to this place for sure. You will see the horrors of war first hand. People from all over the world come to see and worship. Across the street from the hotel is the Royal Palace. To get a perspective on the history of this prefecture, especially around the pre-war era, take the tour of the Palace. On weekends in the spring, they have the cherry blossom festival in Japan, and here in the area around the Palace. Families gather for food, friendship, and fun. Inside the Hotel there were many fancy shops to visit. Dining is incredible. Visit most of the various restaurants, but especially the one at the top of the hotel. The food was unbelievably good, and international menus are available. You have 360 degee views of the city. At night you can see the harbor with ships at anchor and the sacred island where everyone visits. The wild deer walk around freely on the island. You are not allowed to stay overnight, so you go to and from the island by ferry. It is an incredibly sacred and a beautiful place. Shopping is phenominal in Hiroshima. Dining is insanely good. The Japanese are so friendly and helpful. Japan is one of our favorite places. I have now been three times and have another trip planned this year

This hotel was presented to us as a superior hotel. It may have been a luxury hotel in the past, but it is not anymore. The only reference to kinship we saw was in its name. Lobby is huge and classic. Room was vast and bathroom also. It was not dirty, but it was definitely aging. The only luxury we felt inside the room were the towels with embroider logo. Location is very good. The tramway track is almost just in front. A department store is adjacent. It is close to the A-bomb memorial monuments. Because it is branded as a luxury hotel, we were disappointed. It would be a very good middle range hotel without its premium price.
