Great Place, Great Location, Great Service

posted May 20, 2012

We just return from our trip to Rome, Italy. We stayed here at the Rose Garden Palace Hotel. The hotel was beautiful!! Our room was very well appointed, very roomy and a great bathroom with a shower to die for. The people at the Hotel were very accommodating and gracious. Our breakfast each morning was fully enjoyed in their Rose Garden....I can't tell you how beautiful it was and how terrific the food was. We were so relaxed staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone. The hotel was spotless!! The location was in walking distance everywhere...we walked to the Colosseum, The Forum, all the Piazza's, etc. We did take a cab to the Vatican but everyone has to experience the ride in a taxi to fully appreciate how everyone drives in Rome. It was just a terrific experience from A to Z. Can't beat it!

Modern and Clean – Excellent all around

Our stay at the Rose Garden was very comfortable and enjoyable. The modern décor of this hotel is beautiful, and the clean style leaves you with an impression of freshness, as if the hotel just opened for the first time. Breakfast was delicious; fresh, high quality, and offering considerable variety. The location is also quite convenient – well away from the tourist crowds, but essentially only a few minutes from the subway line, and within reasonable walking distance to most attractions. The staff was attentive and polite, and kept the hotel immaculately clean. While many hotels attempt to distinguish themselves with flashy features, the Rose Garden focuses on what is really important and succeeds on all counts. Comfortable, clean, relaxing and with a subtle modern décor that should not be overlooked - excellent all around.

Honeymoon

Modern, plush hotel with beautiful room. We were congratulated on our marriage on arrival and treated to a room up-grade and a bottle of bubbly on ice - really nice touch. It has a swimming pool (unusual for 4* hotel in centre of Rome) and although it is small I had it to myself on two occasions! Nice area to explore Rome from and very near to taxi rank and pick up point for all the "hop on hop off" tour buses. Lovely selection for the buffet breakfast and beautiful cappuccinos. I asked at the reception for the best place to get stamps and post my postcards and they did it all for me there and then which took away a lot of hassel. We did not eat in the hotel as felt it was a bit expensive and there were so many nice restaurants recommended in our travel books that we wanted to try. No noise, comfy bed which was huge, lovely bath and shower. Free wi-fi. We would definitely stay here again.

A very good hotel

Rose garden palace hotel is a very good hotel located near via veneto , next to the ex famous jacky-o piano restaurant and opposite to the USA embassy .The room i stayed was very good but there was a problem . the cabinets are located in the the bath room !!!!!!!!!!!! the room was spacious clean and quite . The staff at the reception was not so helpful . the breakfast was quite nice. The location of the hotel was not very good although they claim that it is located in the center of the city .Perhaps this is true but according to my opinion this is not the case. if you are at piazza venetsia and you want to go back to the hotel , you can not go on foot . you have to take a bus or a taxi which is not so easy to find at rush hours The public means of transportation in Rome are not very good Therefore if someone wants to go back to the hotel after a walking tour of 3 hours and standing at a long queue 2 hours in order to enter in st Peters church , he has to fight in order to find a taxi or he has to wait for a long time at a bus station . there was a bus stop very close to the hotel.

Excellent

We spent 10 nights at the Rose Garden Palace (4/16-4/26) and found it to be an excellent base for a Roman holiday. Our room was #103. It was facing the road and American embassy, but we had no problems with any noise. The room had a king size bed, a walk-in closet with mini-bar, free wi-fi (good speed) and a full bath. The maids were very good about cleaning the room each morning and turning it down at night. The breakfast (included) was quite nice and had eggs, sausage/bacon, juice, pastries, cold-cuts, etc. The hotel was nicely located. If you went to the right out the door, you would find Via Veneto at the end of the block. Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps are only about 1.5 km away and you can walk there quite easily. There are taxis readily available if you don't want to walk. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
