When I read the reviews for this hotel before booking, I was very encouraged. We travel a lot and are willing to pay for a great hotel experience. You will NOT get it at this location. There are many, many other hotels in Rome for the same or less that will give you a much better vacation. Much better. It is so extremely overpriced, to me it was shocking. If you don't mind spending 35 Euros pp for a breakfast of far less quality than an average Hampton Inn - do you math - than this is the place for you. One cocktail in the evening - 25 Euros plus. Room - average. I did think the location was fun, views of the beautiful Pantheon, but come on, please, do some more research and save some hard earned cash. I promise, you can do much, much better.

When we first checked into this hotel, I was impressed by the lobby and the small parlor-like rooms off to the side, which were nicely decorated. The staff was efficient but friendly at check-in. Once we got to our room, I was pleased to see how large the room was, as well as the generous closet space. We had dinner in the rooftop restaurant one night and the food was excellent with artistic presentation. The staff at the breakfast buffet in the morning was attentive and always happy to bring another cappuccino if you wanted one. The best thing about this hotel is the location which is right across the square from the Pantheon. It is walking distance or a short taxi ride to all the major sights and shopping.

We spent four nights here in view of the Pantheon. The hotel was formerly a palace. The room was oversized, very clean, comfy bed, wireless access, AC, rooftop bar with excellent city views. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this location. It is also a convenient walking distance to many sights in old Rome.

The hotel is in a very central, covenient location - close to the sights, shopping etc. Our room, larger by choice, had great ambience and provided a romantic setting. However the standout feature was the staff - all of them were so friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and we were very appreciative of that. Management should be very proud of them.

This was a homecoming for us -- 8 years earlier we were here for our honeymoon and returned with 2 kids. Our deluxe junior suite was really like a suite (with doors separating the bedroom from the living room) and for 500 Euro a night you couldn't beat it. The location is very good (especially once you realize you are closer to via corso than it seems from all the circular streets around you) and the breakfast was also very good. 35 Euro per person for the very nice buffet with some excellent items, but they didn't charge our kids so it was overall fine and they made omelettes for the kids. Room service was expensive but pretty good too. There is a gym which is just adequate. Concierges were very attentive to responding to our e-mail requests before arrival for babysitting, airport transfer and private tour, but when we asked questions almost all the information we got thru a hotel concierge turned out to be wrong (ie: opening hours of various places). There is an internet station in the lobby. There is no dual voltage outlet in the bathroom; be sure and bring an adapter. This is not a full 5 star hotel; no shoe-shine service, spa or massage service, or English language newspaper at your door. But is it worth an extra couple hundred euro a night?
