I went to Hotel Sanpi many times for business. Every single time the staff was welcoming, that is the first very good point of the hotel. Single rooms come in two size. Small ones located next to the elevator of each floor come with a small bed but has a nicer bathroom and a space made for placing your suitcase and open it easily (very practical). Bigger ones are in the middle of the floor with a slightly bigger bed (about 110cm wide) but I was disappointed by the bathroom, it has some mistake in its design. The toilets are placed to close from the sink making very difficult to sit on it comfortably. The stupid this is that the bidet is next to the toilet seat with plenty of space in front of it but almost nobody use a bidet anymore so it's a waste of space in my opinion. In addition of that the room have absolutely no place to put your suitcase except maybe on the minibar fridge but this one is warming so much that I wouldn't recommend to place anything on it ! I've also experienced double room and twin room. The size is of course bigger and I don't remember having problem in the bathroom like in the other room. In general the comfort of the room is good, the bed could have been better but there are not so bad. The room are well equipped with closet, safe, flat screen TV (but only a few channels in Italian en German and no more than a couple of channel in other language (English, French), it's poor knowing that cheaper hotels have Sky satellite in Milan. The bathroom is equipped with a very big mirror (in every room I went), hair dryer, a bidet (if someone still using it), liquid bath soap, shampoo, body lotion, 2x hand soap, shower cap, shoes sponge, slippers, dressing gown, bath carpet and a set of towel of course. You can also ask for a WiFi connection in your room, the price is expensive but the connection speed is very good. The breakfast is good, a lot of choice with "Italian brioche" (like croissants filled with marmalade, cream or chocolate), bread, toast, cereals, Italian morning snacks, many fruits, cooked meats, cheese and 3 different fruit juice, tea, hot chocolate and coffee (but with a self working machine, not real Italian coffee). In addition of that you can order special meals but at an additional cost. The Hotel also have a bar with an experimented and friendly barman that will make your favorite cocktails and recommend you the best restaurants to eat. Finally the location. The hotel is on a quite street, so even on the street side I was never woken up by noise. However the neighborhood are filled with interesting restaurant of every type and reasonable budget (Italian, Chinese, Argentine,...) and you can walk to the train main station within 10-15min and to the Corso Buenos Aires within 5min (From there you can go shopping for a while with all the branded shops and get the metro red line to the Domo). Another plus, almost every taxi in Milan know this hotel, so even if you don't remember the address you have a great chance to be driven directly to the right place.

Loved the decor of the newly redone room! It was very clean, quiet and safe for a single woman traveling alone. It was close to all the major sights and there were places to eat within a block.

I am planning a trip to Milan in June and I have never been to Italy before. I found Hotel Sanpi on tripadvisor and the reviews were great. But I was still skeptical. But I must say I am no longer feeling this way. I had a lot of questions for the Staff, so I emailed QUITE a few times and they responded very quickly and answered all my questions. Everyone I contacted was very professional, friendly and so helpful. I am looking forward to my stay there. It is so nice to find such great customer service!!!!! Parma will be in Italy soon!!

We stayed there for 2 nights (april 2012). The location of the hotel is very good, on a quite street, close to the city center (15-20 minutes walking distance to the Duomo and the shopping area) and also close to the central railway station (10-15 minutes walk). The staff is very friendly, polite and efficient. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean, but there was a problem with the shower (it didn't drain properly). The inside garden of the hotel is very nice.Breakfast was great. We will return to Hotel Sanpi on our next trip to Milan

Nice location, fairly central not far from the train station (10 min walk) . Size of the room was nice, and the breakfast was good with great service/staff. Still,- I miss the friendly welcome telling me that they are so happy to see me there and that they really wanted me back. Why is it so hard to say "welcome back"! Another impression that I am stuck with is sound isolation - the doors to the room were far from sound proof. It felt like we were sleeping with the door open all night. There is a potential here, and on a good day (maybe we met the wrong guys) - this is a "very good" hotel.
