Base for Milan exploration

posted May 5, 2012

Nice base for discovering Milan. Hotel is clean and kind. Service fast and solution friendly. Located in area you can enter by car. Attractive surroundings. Not far from tube station. Tolerable food.

Great for 1 to 2 nights only!

The thing to know when booking a hotel in Milan is the airport you will be flying into. When I booked this hotel, I thought it was only 15 minutes from the airport. I had no idea that there are three or four airports near Milan. I flew into Milan-Bergamo and it was about an hour away from this hotel. The hotel itself is probably only great for one or two nights. The reason is because the room is small and only has basic ammenities. The staff was pretty helpful and the room was clean but the shower did not drain very good, and any longer than a few minutes you were standing in 1-2 inch water. All in all, this wasn't a bad experience, just very unique.. Keep in mind that anything "extra" costs money. Wi-fi wasn't free even though the hotels.com website says it was. This was the biggest downfall of the hotel. Breakfast is 13 euro per person and definately NOT worth this much....(but kids are free). There is a supermarket right next door to the hotel which was very nice and handy for snacks since the food in the mini-bar was extremely expensive.

nice room but unhealthy

I spent 2 nights in this hotel, the rooms seemed nice regarding furniture, amenities and so on but due to the moquette and the heater the air was so dry that I was obliged to put wet towels on the heater and it was not enough. starting from the second day me and all my colleague were ill with a rhinitism due to the rooms conditions. we were in 4 different rooms and all of us had the same problem. It could also be that the cleaners/filters were not clean enough or they didn't work properly during our stay. The breakfast is ok thank to an italian waitress that always smiles and have a nice word for everyone, but the curtains that once were white now are grey and they need to be washed. On last day the hotel guested a school trip from Greece: it was not possible to sleep before 1.30 in the night: this is the first time in my life that I met a school trip in a business hotel. I wonder if I paid to less for this business hotel or if the scholars have paid too much for a students hotel.

Overall the hotel, my wife and I were pleased. Recommended.

The hotel is located very conveniently, directly from the Turro underground station, which is a branch line to downtown and attractions. In a couple of triple stops - shopping street in Buenos Aires. By the way, next to the hotel (next door) - supermarket, where you can try many things tasty and even buy some gifts home. The hotel is fully equivalent to 4 stars. Good rooms, bed and bathroom. Cleanly. Buffet breakfast is not very abundant: small selection of sausages and cheeses. But like the hot chocolate:))) For those who like heat in the room a little chilly. I hope that they include winter heating at high power. Staff very polite, not counting the Italian loquacity (a lot of talk among themselves and over the phone), but this is generally a national trait. Overall the hotel, my wife and I were pleased. Recommended.

Beautiful week end in Milano

Was in Milano just for 3 days and it was very cold but had lots of fun anyway. Hotel Concorde is a very good located hotel. Excellent rooms and very clean, which feels very confortable when you're not at home. A special thanks to the beautiful people at the reception who had been very helpful and kind to me. I thing it's been a good choise and so i recommend it to everybody. Ciao ciao Milano.
