We were very happy with the hotel and food! THe hotel is well located in the center of the lovely city, very close to the nice restaurants and shops. Amazing restaurant with outside area and beautiful pool and gardens! We recomend and would come back for a romantik weekend.

Due to other very good comments here at Tripadvisor we also decided to choose this hotel. A parking place is just across the hotel and price is €14 a day (March 2012). It is just a 1 minute walk to the centre where you will find endless restaurants, bars and shops. Our room (Deluxe-Double), was very spacious, clean comfortable. Even the room was facing the road (dead end), the was no problem with any noise as, the rooms have double windows. The breakfast has quite a good choice, not very impressive, but you will find all important items. Try to get a space on outside terrace. The "Laurin Restaurant" seems to be one of the best in Bolzano, however we decided to go out to experience some "local food" (see my advises for bolzano). At Friday nights there is live blues music at the hotel bar, which is also a very nice place. The garden at the hotel is a real oasis with different spots to relax and sit. Whenever we coming back to Bolzano we will stay there for sure again!

Took my wife to Bolzano fot the Xmas Market.. spent a lovely 2 days in Bolzano.. the Hotel is in city centre, close to everything.. charming place, very place... room very quite.. loved the door in the hallway between the bedroom and the corridor outside... in this way you don t hear any noise of people walking/talking in the corridors o/stairs of the Hotel..

It is an institution in Bolzano and indeed the building is majestic and the entrance too. However, it suffers from old age and lack of restyling. Rooms are of a good size, but the furniture and facilities are not up to a 4* hotel standard. Quality of breakfast is quite poor.

Stayed at the Laurin on recommendation of the company that we were visiting in Leives. What a nice surprise. Yes the rooms are a bit dated and I am sorry but I'm grown-up, single beds are for children! That is the only reason not five stars! This is a really nice place to stay. This is an old character building and hotel. Not the usual homogenised corporate dorm. The lounge bar is large, atmospheric and a really nice place to be and bar staff very helpful and pleasant. The weather was miserable so, unusually, we had dinner in the hotel. I am so pleased that we did, I thought it was faultless. Fantastic food, presented beautifully. A little on the expensive side but a really nice treat.
