This was the third time I stayed at Royal Garden and first since they completed the renovation. While its not on the level of the Mandarin Oriental, it's a hotel I would stay at again. Great Dining choices, great 12 th floor club gives you a peaceful place to unwind and enjoy a cocktail. My post renovation room was great and left nothing out.

Having stayed here many times before I am pleased to say that this hotel still retains a good old fashioned approach to its guests. If you book an executive room you can use the exucutive lounge which is comfortable and you get to meet other travellers and business people. Free coffee during the day and frree drinks in the evening up to 20.30, food is also available. The hotel has various restaurants all of which are excellent. It is close to the main shopping area in Kowloon and by using the Metro station close by you can visit other parts of this busy city very easily. The rooms are comfortable if not a little small (typical city size rooms). Can recommend this hotel and the prices are reasonable.

Enjoyed a weeks stay here and upgraded to Club Lounge access. This made the difference to our stay with the opportunity to watch the light show each evening while have a glass of champagne. Isn't that what Hong Kong is about! Good location for getting about and easy walk to avenue of stars for a nice stroll in the evening and to then catch ferry across to Hong Kong Island. Lots of nice restaurants in the hotel but didn't try them as some were very expensive. Lots of inexpensive and nice places to eat in the vicinity though.

I've been leaving some negative reviews about places lately and I wanted to think back to a place I really liked to help balance things. The Royal Garden definitely comes to mind when I think about good times spent! My husband had to go to Hong Kong to work for 2 weeks and I tagged along with him, The Royal Garden is what the company paid for. Being a business trip for an airline, I wasn't expecting much - but was I ever happily surprised! The hotel and the rooms are very luxurious feeling. The bed was nice, the room clean, the lobby absolutely stunning. We stayed during Christmas season and they had the most beautiful ornament tree (not an actual tree, but one shaped with silver balls) that hung at least 12 stories high. They even have a turn down service and they put a chocolate on your pillow for you. If I ever get to return to HK, I will definitely stay here again!
