My second time to stay here (both for work) and this time I got upgraded to a suite with views over the Harbour. The suite was actually bigger than my apartment! The beds are huge and very comfortable (though I am a fan of a hard bed). The bathroom in the suite was bigger than the normal room but in both they are a good size. In room amenities are below par for a hotel of this standard. The TVs are not easy to use and the channels are all mixed up (I would prefer to have all the news channels together, foreign language together etc). The Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries are average, I think they could do better, maybe Bvlgari which you can get at some of the Starwood chains. There is also no iron provided, you must use the in-house service which is completely overpriced and if you land late in the evening, there is no time to get your clothes ironed in time for the morning. I learned this the hard way getting caught my first time but not this time! Also, the bathroom does not have aircon so its gets very hot after showering. Breakfast downstairs is a little over priced at HKD$220 but there is a good variety of Western and Asian foods - the coffee is poor though and only ever luke warm. Also, if they are going to class themselves as a five star, I would prefer the toast to be brought to the table as the toaster is terrible - though its takes so long for the coffee guy to come round you'd probably never get your toast! Also, air con down here is poor if there is any. With the huge glass windows it gets hot quick and you can end up sweating - not pleasant. Room service is quite quick, the club s/w is an excellent price for what you get. The gym is well equipped and has nice views and the pool is even better! Check-in and out is usually very smooth. The location is not great though, I stay here for work but if I was a tourist I would stay close to the Ocean Terminal on the Kowloon side. The hotel does provide shuttles to this area though every half hour but ends at 22:30. The hotel is very popular with tour groups so bare that in mind. It is near always full to capacity and the large group can be quite annoying.

I've just spent the most amazing weekend at The Harbour Grand and having stayed in many of hotels around the world this one is easily one of the best I've stayed in. I booked a weekend stay in a Harbour View room to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday and was given an upgrade to a suite with the most amazing view. On top of this a Birthday Cake and bottle of wine arrived to add to the magic of the weekend. I live in Hong Kong but wanted to book somewhere special to celebrate with my sister who was visiting -The Harbour Grand didn't let us down. The walk into TST is great and gives you one of the best views across the Harbour possible. The tranquility of the location and the attention to detail easily make this hotel a better option than the high end hotels right in the middle of central or TST in my opinion. Thank so so much for making our stay a weekend to remember.

The rooms overlooking the harbour are excellent. The interiors are lovely. The sit out next to the hotel is beautiful at night. The location is the only negative but the hotel has complimentary bus service every half hour for pick up and drop to the tsim sha sui station which is a big positive. Loved the stay!

People warned us that the Harbour Grand was too far away from the action to be a good place to stay in HK. They were wrong, The Hotel was close to the Star Ferry terminal, and a 10 minute shuttle bus ride to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) which landed us right outside the famous Peninsular Hotel. Shuttle buses leave on the hour and return on the half hour. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were consistently fast efficient and polite. The rooms were spacious and clean, air-conditioning was enthusiastic and the view over to HK Island was sensational. We stayed in a club room on the 18th floor giving us access to the Harbour Club on the 19th. If you can do it this is the way to go. Breakfasts were comprehensive and tasty, the room itself was peaceful and a great way to start the day. The weather was wet so we did not use the pool which is another feature of the hotel, being on the roof. We will definitely go back again.

This is my second stay at Harbour Grand Kowloon and it won't be the last. As a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) this Hotel accommodates us very well. We booked a Deluxe Harbour View Room and were given a very large room that also had lounge settings for 4 people, this is the second time we have been given the larger rooms so as a family we have more space, although the views from our particular room were overlooking Kowloon Bay not looking at HK Island the view was still glorious and we saw some beautiful sunrises. (Room number 942) The hotel always has a sense of excitement about it with it's grand lobby area always buzzing with excitement (but not chaos) from people all over the world. This visit I was pleasantly surprised to see the beds had been upgraded to full size queen beds as opposed to the small non - western size double bed previously encountered. As always, we enjoyed the daily breakfast Buffett in the Promenade which includes a huge selection of Western, Asian and European style foods. The dinner buffett is also a feast especially the seafood selections. I suggest grabbing a window seat so you can look out over Kowloon Bay and Victoria Harbour. We also ate at the Waterfront restaurant, which also has awesome views if you sit outside, inside has a nice ambience if the weather is bad. Also a nice selection of Asian and mainly Western inspired dishes. Tip - get there early for 2 for 1 Happy hour drinks. The rooftop pool and bar area on level 20 Has even better views and is a nice place to chill out away from the craziness of HK if the weather is nice and not to windy. Located in Whampoa Gardens, Hung Hom the hotel is a bit away from the tourist action but is only a 5-10 minute cab ride from TST or Mong Kok at about $5 USD, the hotel has a free shuttle to TST that leaves every half hour. Hung Hom MRT is only about 3 minutes drive. Also 2 minutes walk away is the Hunghom ferry pier where you can get a ferry To North Point on HK island, from there you can get the MRT or bus to wherever you need to be on the island. If you have time take the double decker tram if going a short distance e.g. Causeway Bay. Within 3 minutes walk from the Hotel is the Jusco supermarket/department store, which literally sells everything that opens and shuts. Within in the Worlds of Whampoa area there are also plenty of restaurants, cafes and fast food venues, most at very reasonable prices. I also enjoy the shopping in Whampoa where they have a great range of unique mid range clothes and shoes for men, women and children (including many shops catering for more Western sizes). Looking forward to my next stay already……..
