We stayed at the Pantheon for one night, after spending 4 days at another hotel in the city and then another 4 touring the south of France. We loved the location; our other Paris Hotel was in the Opera district and the location was quite noisy at night. The room was clean and overlooked the street. A plus was that this hotel does offer closet space so if you are there for an extended stay you don't have to live out of your suitcase. The bathroom was typically "European," with inadequate coverage for the shower (some water does get on the floor). The breakfast, which we did not choose to get, was a bit expensive compared to other locations. The cafe next door offers a much more reasonable rate. At times, the staff was a bit overwhelmed to provide good service; they lost their internet connection and it created some difficulties. However, the young woman who checked us in was friendly and charming, we wish we had gotten her name as she deserves mention. The hotel itself is in a lovely area near the universities, the Pantheon and the Luxembourg Gardens. We would consider staying there again as we fell in love with Paris and plan to return.

Hotel Villa Pantheon, Paris has two things in its favour: It is clean and it is well situated. After that it represents poor value and I don't know why it justifies 4 star status. Official description is "cosey & refined" > translate as dated & in need of renovation. Breakfast @ Euro 14 was terrible. Cold scrambled egg & bacon. Worst croissants in Paris & in a shabby dining area. I complained & used the facility once out of a possible 4 mornings. I have some concern about sevurity too having arrived at 23.00 hrs one evening to find reception unattended with a note "back in 5 minutes" .. and I waited all of that! It would not have been impossible to reach a room key (traditional locks, not electronic). On balance, avoid this one.

My husband and I stayed her for 8 nights for our tenth anniversary. Even before we arrived Belinda was extremely helpful with setting reservations, making recommendations, and all in all making us very welcome. The lobby is very nice and comfortable for using wifi, and actually the hotel upgraded to in-room wifi during our stay, a huge plus. The room was quite tiny (this is Paris after all) but the bathtub was very big with an endless supply of hot water, perfect for relaxing after a rainy walk. The bed was not the most comfortable I've ever slept in, but the location is amazing - 1 block to the pantheon and Sorbonne, 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, close to Latin Quarter but on a much quieter street. We had a wonderful time and would stay again for the location and service, thanks again Belinda!

We found the location of this hotel close to perfect. Arriving att CDG airport, just take the RER to St Michel - Notre Dame and from there it's a 3 minute walk! The hotel is located on a calm street so there was almost no noise from traffic at night. We had no problem sleeping. Lots of small restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room was average by normal european standard, but we expected worse due to all negative reviews of hotels in Paris on Google. Beds were OK+, shower and bath clean and no problem getting hot water. Small TV with some 15 channels, all of them in french except CNN (we're in Paris, who's watching tv here anyway). There was free WiFi in the lobby and a paid service for WiFi in the rooms. All in all, we would have no problem recommending this hotel for lovely weekend in Paris!

I would have appreciated this place so much more if the manager had even attempted to try to be civil. Before I even arrived I had called to say I made an error and booked one too many days but he would not consider a credit which I can understand, it was my error. But he was almost hostile about it. Nothing changed from when I arrived. I did change rooms on the first night, it was on the street side and it was a beyond loud. I needed the window open for some fresh air which made it that much more unbearable. I strongly suggest not staying on that side if you go. The light switch didn't work and when I told him he stormed in like it was a total inconvenience for him. He said I had to wait until the next day to get it fixed. I switched rooms the next day, thankfully the other employees were much nicer. It's a great location but I'd look elsewhere next time.
