I barely stayed at the hotel room since I only had one night to explore Paris. The location was perfect to explore major sites, especially on a bike. Velib is awesome! I did get to enjoy breakfast at the hotel, which was wonderful. And all service staff were very courteous helpful. I liked my room and especially the bathroom with all marble flooring. The location is great for shopping too.

We spent last week-end three nights at this hotel. It's ideally located: along the chic shopping area Rue du Faubourg St-Honoré and Rue St-Honoré, within walking distance from the Louvre, Jeu de Paume, Orangerie, Madeleine, Opéra, le Marais, even the Quartier Latin is just a bridge away. Our standard room (rack rate EUR 390.- plus breakfast EUR 19.- p.p.) was small as was the bathroom but well equipped. Wifi did not function in the room but good reception on the ground floor and breakfast room. Furniture was 'faux empire' but solid, excellent mattresses, flat TV screen and fully-stocked fridge (it's a 4*). Rooms going onto Rue d'Alger are quieter than those on Rue St-Honoré, quietest are the ones overlooking the courtyard but they are the first to go. If you like to sleep with an open window, earplugs are very useful. Breakfast buffet is plentiful, varied and tasty. We also had lunch at the '221' snackbar in the hotel and the food was better than anywhere else we'd eaten over the four days and very reasonably priced. Choice, however, is limited. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they lend you an adapter plug free of charge and in the rooms where WiFi reception is poor, they'll help you out with a cable. Cleaning staff is very attentive and they do a good job. We do recommend this hotel, not the least because of its location and price/quality adequation. It's not as fancy as the Crillon and the Meurice (which are just a few steps away) but you also pay considerably less.

The Royal St Honore just couldn't be in a better location. It's right in the heart of the museum district, walking distance to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and L'Orangerie. St Honore is also the premier shopping district in Paris and a short walk to some great restaurants. The hotel is perfectly functional but not fancy. The rooms are clean and do the job. The bathrooms are updated and are in great shape. The internet is free and works consistently. The concierges (Matthew and Alain) are both first rate-- they are very helpful and kind-hearted. Cafe 221 is right in the building and is a cozy place to get a drink or an outstanding creme brulee at the end of the day. The young fellow "B" serves the food/drinks there and is very affable. This is a place you can feel at home while in the heart of a very busy place. I highly recommend Auberge St Roch, a restaurant that is near the hotel. it's very small with homemade food. Not cheap, but excellent food.

Located in the heart of the Museum district just of Place Vendome. Two blocks of the Rue de Rivoli and the Tuillerie Gardens, a couple of blocks from there to the Louvre. Small but very comfortable rooms. Very nice marble baths and thick towels and good bed linen. Our room had a small terrace which overlooked a common neighborhood open space. Not particularly pretty but nice light and quite. The hotel was understated elegant. The bar was nice and the morning buffet breakfast was excellent. The concierge was top notch. Value for money was excellent! Highly recommend. Remember you are in Paris so every living space is small.
