So I was not really sure why anyone would stay in this area, but it is clear that there is a reason for visitors. I was in town for a concert at the near by Galaxie arena and was not sure what was the draw to the area was. I went for a bike ride around the area and found all sorts of great trails and things to do. Attached is a casino and near-by is a hockey rink and swimming pool. The staff at the hotel was quite friendly and helpful. Showed us how to walk down the hill to the newly built mall and supermarket. The rooms were small but well decorated. I really enjoyed the smoking area in the lobby. It was inclosed but well ventilated and the bartender would serve us in there. From what I have heard, there is only one other hotel in the area and it is not that great. If you have the option, choose the plaza.

Very nice, modern hotel. A VERY friendly and helpful staff ... From the front desk to housekeeping. I paid a visit to the Seven Casino which is attached. Plenty restaurants and other things to do in the area.
