I had stayed in business trip during the F1 grand prix and the hotel raised the prices for Saturday end Sunday. I is a very good hotel, with many restaurants inside, but you can not walk around because there is nothing near, you have to take a taxi to go to clubs and disco.

Among the oldest 5 ***** property in the Kingdom of Bahrain, this hotel is well laid out and rooms are good and neat with housekeeping doing a good job every day. The many restaurants there are offering a variety of food and drinks and my favorite was the China Garden which served good Chinese food and I would recommend to try their Chicken in garlic sauce with some Red wine. Would recommend this hotel to all Business travelers-Good facilities including a efficient Business center

The hotel is very good and with a good location. There are resturants, coffe bars and kebab shops in walking distance as well as the cultural centre. For shopping, market and other parts of town we used taxi which was about BAD 8 to City Centre. Make sure that hey turn on the taxameter! The hotel has a number of good resturants, a very nice garden with pool and good conference facilities. relatively expensive, but probably worth the money (I have limited experience from Bahrain:-).

stayed there this year for a couple of nights with work and was happy with my stay there. Request non smoking room if needed and they were great at all my requests. The food was superb and I would stay there again!

Stayed one night only. Had to change room as asked for non smoking but room allocated stunk of smoke. Nothing too much trouble and we had been changed in ten minutes. Room ok but windows filthy and poor view. Quite small but fine for our use but air con took ages to work. Pool area lovely and great service. Had Mexican meal that night which was average and awful singing which nearly prompted us to leave. Luckily the singer stopped before we got deafened. Had a dress code of no shorts which considering the standard of singing I thought was quite funny. Location is pretty awful. Miles to ATM and nothing much at hotel. Taxi service in Bahrain seems a bit of a free for all. Although metered you still have to negiotate and invariably get ripped off. If you are a couple beware of you being a King and Queen to the taxi drivers. Translated means he is going to try to rip you off by asking you to say how much u think the taxi fare ought to be! Wandered down to some restaurants about 10 minute walk from hotel but to be frank wouldn't go there again as not a particularly nice area. Anyway hotel itself has every type of food you would want so no real need to go out. For a weekend break staying in the hotel, yes it would be lovely. But that's about it really. Pool area nice, customer service excellent, location poor, breakfast very good, rooms very average from what we saw.
