We were thrilled when we saw our hotel in Vienna after our stay in a no-frills hotel in Salzburg. This place was everything we wanted - great location, great customer service, a fabulous restaurant on-site, great breakfast, lovely room with all the amenities - so why did it get only a 4 out of 5? Because on our first day, no one showed up to service our room until after we came back to our room AFTER dinner!!! It is awkward to have your room serviced while you are in your room. When housekeeping left, we realized they forgot to leave us new toiletries. The next day, housekeeping didn't show up at all. Finally, in the evening we called the front desk and asked for our room to be serviced. We got fresh towels and toiletries and she was gone. We loved the hotel but they do need to step it up on housekeeping. I noticed that other guests commented on the see-through shower. I was with my husband so we had fun with it and it was a novelty. If you are traveling with someone you aren't terribly comfortable with, you might want to look further :-)

Well located near the parliament and Rathaus, this is indeed a very nice hotel. The weather was unusually warm for May - hovering around 30C - so the a/c was a blessing. Room was very nice and quiet. The unusual shower arrangement of being glassed-in in the room took some getting used to but was ok. The restaurant ended up being a good spot for dinner - as well as the included breakfast. We had tried to find another dinner place nearby but with the hot weather, the hotel restaurant was the most pleasant alternative. None of the other nearby spots had a/c.

Extremely poor internet connection. Event though I had 4 out of 5 lines of WiFi signal, it almost feels like dial-up. Even after refreshing 5-6 times, some pages refuse to load, and gmail takes almost 30 seconds. Yes, the rooms are comfortable, but for a business trip this is disastrous.

We stent five nights in this hotel in May 2012 and would very stronglyy recommend it. Plus points include: 1. Comfort 2. Proximity to city centre 3. Excellent breakfasts 4. Value for money Negative points include: 1. Morning front-office staff are a bit slow and check-out process could be cumbersome at peak times (need express checkoit like many major group) 2. If arriving by car, limited space for unloading 3. No porter on duty at time of our checkout

This hotel helped me to save my trip to Vienna!!! The other hotel which I had stayed in (with a prepaid reservation) was terrible. So, I checked out early (forfeiting my money) and called this hotel instead. The staff was very nice. The hotel is new and clean. The location is great and near to so many sights in the city that you will want to see. And, those that are further away are conveniently reached via the underground metro which is only about 3 blocks away. I didn't try the restaurant, but the menu looked very nice.
