Frankfurt, July 29, 2008 –  In the first half of 2008, WORLDHOTELS added 28 new properties to its unique portfolio of almost 500 hotels around the globe. The new additions to the group are comprised of 13 hotels in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), four in the Americas and 11 in Asia-Pacific.

Hong Kong, July 18, 2008 – WORLDHOTELS voted "Best Independent Hospitality Organization" in the TravelWeekly (Asia) Industry Awards 2008. The largest established Europe based global hotel group for independent hotels and regional brands received the honour last night at an awards presentation.

It was the first time the awards had a new category honouring independent hotel groups. The prestigious awards 2008 promote excellence, professionalism and best business practices.

Successful IMEX 2008 and WORLDHOTELS’ meeting planner tool contribute to the groups’ soaring MICE business

Frankfurt, 14. July 2008 – The first half of 2008 has brought record results for WORLDHOTELS’ MICE business. MICE revenue climbed 40% from 8.5 Million USD in the first half of 2007 to 12 Million USD in the same period of 2008. Another great success for the hotel group has been the excellent group results generated at IMEX 2008, the essential exhibition for meetings and incentive travel worldwide.

Frankfurt, July 14, 2008 – After the successful re-launch of WORLDHOTELS’ website in January 2008, the company now plans the launch of seven new international language versions. From August 2008, comprehensive information on how to find one’s dream hotel will be available on the website not only in English, but also in the following languages: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese. A Russian language version will launch later in the year bringing the total number of languages available on WORLDHOTELS.com up to eight.

Hong Kong, July 14, 2008 – WORLDHOTELS affiliates Stamford Hotels and Resorts has collected the ‘Australia’s Leading Airport Hotel’ accolade in the 2008 World Travel Awards. The group’s Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport hotel was honoured in the prestigious awards, hailed as the “Oscars of the travel industry" by the Wall Street Journal.
